I made a new kernel 2.6.1 for my sony - laptop, which has an internal winmodem.
My old hsfmodem-modules from linuxant do not work with that kernel, because the new kernel changed the modules-interface.
The old drivers worked - not absolute problemless, but I would call it 'fine' with linux 2.5.0 and 2.4.19.
The new driver I downloaded compiled without problems and the modules get loaded.
But when I dial - either with kppp, with wvdial or at the commandline with pppd - ...params... I always get following errors:
The modem dials, but upon connecting, the modem disconnects.
I compared the scripts from 2.6.1 with 2.5.0 and tried differnt options (PAP, PAP/CHAP, CHAP) ... sooner or later I get a disconnect, a few seconds after connecting.
Any suggestions?
