Is there a way to ring the computer bell (beep) when a user hits a certain href link ?

As far as I know, you wouldn't be able to do this cross-browser.

You can use and applet and there are sollutions if you google for "beep javascript".

But I'd discourage any of them. As a user, I find them really annoying, a good reason to not visit that page. If I'm listening to music while surfing, I don't like beeps over my favourite songs.
