Dear forum members,
We are facing a configuration issue during a network upgrade. Final configuration: an HP K-server running HP-UX11 has 3 lan ports equipped. Each lan port is dedicated to an application running on the server. This server (via a hub/switch) is connected to the nation wide lan/wan. The customer has given a range op IP addresses and a gateway (IP address eg. 188.8.x.x, GW 188.8.99.99). We can select an IP address for each server lan port. The applications have to address IP adresses via the lan/wan (eg. 188.40.x.x, 188.49.x.x, 188.60.x.x). One lan port needs connectivity with a fixed number of IP addresses. We are getting the feedback that this cannot work due to restrictions on the server (different lan interfaces = different subnetworks). Could somebody advise?
Many thanks in advance.
