HPLJ5 network printer will not come out of powersave

HPLJ5 network printer will not come out of powersave mode when I send a print job, unless cycle power.It will print fine if I sent it a job before it goes into powersave
Any Ideas?

Not the best idea, but disable power save? Maybe upgrade to something a little newer? I shouldn't talk, I have 4 of them still in use, but if they break they are gone. We don't support printers over 6 years old.

Are you using a 10 base or a 10/100 NIC? Update the firmware
