Hi, everyone :)

I have a networked HPLJ4Si that has started pausing between each page on large check runs. The printer was moved recently, but no settings were purposely changes, nor were the drivers re-installed on the PC from which the checks are being printed. The pc was also moved, but again, no changes to any configuration settings. For a couple of runs, it would print 6 checks, without pause, and then go on to have an equal pause between each check thereafter. Then we moved it back to the network jack that it had been moved from and it started pausing after the very first check printed. Can this be a data transfer rate issue?

Has anyone seen this before and remember what the issue was?

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions!!

If this is networked, check speed/duplex settings.

I'm not sure how to check this. I have printed a test page and in the MIO 1 section, it says...

Port Select: 100TX Full-M

I don't see where it says anything about duplexing. Can you direct me to how to determine speed and duplexing?

Thanks!

Full-M means full DUPLEX. Is the printer connected to a switch ? If so,check the switch port settings match.

Thanks, NetManRick! You are my hero :)

Sure enough, the switch was set to half duplex so we changed it to full and then had to wait until today's check-run to see the results. Issue resolved!!!!
