Help. My printer guru has left me high and dry. An HP8000N constantly causes paper to fold up almost perfectly like an accordian. It only does this on mornings when the purchasing group tries to print off lots of reports. Smaller print jobs haven't been a problem so far.

Thanks in advance

At what point is it folding? If it's right before the fuser, I've seen this happen... it's usually some obstruction there, or the fuser is out of adjustment (too tight on the rollers).

Just my $0.02

Not many clues to go on except you mentioned it was in the mornings.. top layer of paper can get damp overnight causing increased jams. Before they start their next print job try a new ream of paper, when I say new I mean a brand new unopened ream.

My .01 cents worth !

Have had one of the exit guides come out of position or broken. Open fusr door and check for two black guides. Better still just replace the fuser as the early morning scenario suggests it is running too hot.

Went back and did some readjustments to the fuser/rollers. And it has worked fine since. Hopefully, that was it and it won't need anything else. Thanks for all the suggestions.
