HI ,

I've a HP8000 printer connected on a 9000 system under
HP UX 10.20.
It is under HP Jet Direct Installe Ver E10.18

I want to modify the script ( which is based upon a net_ljx000 model ) to modify the paper size .
Actually it is defined on a ISOA4 format , but when it
prints a slowely shift appears at evey pages.
So I would "extend the lenght" to be in a "customised format" [ or correct a bug ;-) ! ]

All ideas are welcome , I'll be working on it since
24 hours and nothing seems to be clear

Thanks for your help

Leo-Steph ;-) !

I do not believe modifying the script is the way to go. A "shift" of where the text is printing is more than likely a result of the formating of the text document or mechanical error. The printing scripts are just "reacting" to the options passed to them. However if the document has embedded escape sequences to do some formating, these are passed directly to the printer, and then the PCL formatting is in control, not the net_ljx000 model script.
I would suggest printing a document to a flat-file, and then take a look at it with vi. This will show you if there are escape sequences embedded in the document. There will be a lot of ^[ for the escape sequences.
