Hi,
I have an HP 7410 all-in-one that has both an ethernet jack and a USB jack. It is able to be networked and the software can be installed on every computer on the network.
The instructions suggest that this is the case whether it is connected directly to the network via the ethernet jack, or connected to one of the PCs on the network via the USB jack.
Does anyone out there know for sure that connecting the HP to one of the computers on the network via its USB connection will make the HP accessable to all of the computers on the network after installation of the software on all of the computers?
"Make sure you choose the connection type [1. directly to this computer; 2. via the network] between the network and your HP all-in-one (not between your computer [installing the software] and the network)."
This is a bit ambiguous in the configuration I describe.
