The printer is a relatively new (6 mos) hp7280 connected to
a Mac Mini (G4) running OS X 10.4.x (9 or 10). It has been
used mostly for text and web page printing, but recently we
have been printing full page (A4) photo quality layouts. I
noticed that the image is slightly rotated on the media. For
example, a .5in specified margin will print at .5in at the
top and about .56in at the bottom (.44 in on the other edge).
I have not been able to find references to this issue on the
web, perhaps because I am not using the right search terms.
The term 'alignment' has consistently turned up 'head
alignment', which I don't believe is relevant to the issue.
The problem appears to be either carriage or paper feed
mis-alignment.
Any clues as to actual problem, solutions or references
(technical manual?) out there?
