WE BOUGHT OUR HP 4200 IN 2004, IN OCTOBER 2006 WE HAD TO BUY A NEW FUSING ASSEMBLY BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE KIND OF TORE APART IN A SPIRAL FASHION. NOW, APRIL OF 07, THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING AGAIN? IS THIS A COMMON OCCURRANCE OR DO YOU THINK SOMETHING ELSE IS CAUSING THAT ROLLER PIECE TO SPIRAL APART? NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NOW, ORDER A NEW PART OR A NEW PRINTER! THANKS!

I haven't heard of that happening "regulary".

Are you running unusual stock through it (transparencies, etc), or could there be a piece of debris (staple, etc) that dropped down in there?

I would pull the fuser, and give it a REAL hard look for something scoring the assembly.
