Every print job that comes out of my new hp4050 is coming out in a light dark pattern down the page...every inch it gets light then dark then light then dark...

i am guessing it is the fuser or the fuser film....what do you all think?

Try changing your cartridge. Joe Miller

done that already, 3 times actually

Is it the print that is faded in the 'light' sections, or is it normal in the light sections and dark overall in the dark sections? Also, if you could provide the exact length of these sections, down to the nearest 1/8" or so, that would be helpful.

My technician tells me it's "probably" you're transfer roller, without an exact measurement of the repeat pattern he can't be sure. But you should probably give you local HP service provider a call.

i can't give the exact measurement because it fades in and out, it is a set pattern, but it fades from light to dark, the dark is the right darkness, its the lightness that is killing us....

so, joe, you say its the transfer roller? i will check on that.....
