Hallo, can anyone help please. I have an HP1015 printer. It's fine - except every third page when printing back to back comes out with a splodge at the top of the page. Sometimes it's quite faint, other times it's not - but if I want to print out something really smart, I have to throw away every third page and it's driving me crazy! Any suggestions welcome...

Thanks!

Ah, the toaster/printer! Ha!
Is it always in the same place?
Most defects would repeate on the page as the rollers in toner, transfer, and fuser are not that large.
Check the fuser roller for any paper scrap that is being pulled in or any tears in the film.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, it is always in the same place, right at the top of the page in the middle - kind of like someone with lipstick had held the paper between their lips and made a mark (except it's a faint grey colour of course!).

Where or what is a fuser roller?! (I'm a bit non-technical!)

Thanks again

Liz
