Just receintly installed a few seats of UX 11.0 and am having problems with telnet. When telneting into any of the machines (which have nfs mounted drives) it hangs on Please wait... checking for disk quotas. I know this is a problem because I went to the HP extended support page and one of the patchs PHCO_20070 reportedly fixes it. The problem is I already installed this patch. Anyone have any ideas?

If you don't need quotas you can comment out the quotas check in /etc/profile Mike

Email welcome if you're in a hurry or something -- but post in tek-tips as well please, and I will post my reply here as well.

Actually I figured it out.

What had happened I had added an NFS mounted path /nfs/bin to the /etc/PATH file which causes login to hang. If you put the path at the end of the path file rather then the beginning it fixes it.
