HP-UX and Oracle8 - Redo logfiles - Very Urgent

Hi everyone

i have a problem with oracle when i run this sql
SELECT * FROM V$SYSSTAT where name = 'redo buffer allocation retries';


i number in the VALUE field keeps going up, it used to be over 49, so i made a created a redolog file, the size decreased to 15 , can any body help me, and where should i check to solve this problem,

Abdulla,

Create some more redo log files, this will solve the problem.
