HP-UX 11i and EMC - nomegapoll

In a EMC problem with HP-UX 11i, it is noted that trespass storm can occure. I found some hits and One of the items to resolve is set "nomegapoll" in the agent.config file.

I have checked our agent.config file and it is set to "Nomegapoll". I checked other parms and some start lower case and other upper case. Not sure if it is being ignored or set correctly.

Has anyone set this parm in their agent.config and what is the proper syntax? It also looks to me like it will require a re-boot....

You should stop Navisphere...make the change...then restart it.

These are what I have in my agent.config file for HP-UX 11.
Of course this is a server with dual HBAs.

You'll also need to change the default I/O timeout to 180 for the Clariion disk(s).
pvchange -t 180 /dev/dsk/cXdXtX

I already changed all the pvs so the timeout is 180....
