HP-UX 11.11 upgrade

Dear all,

We are planning to upgrade our HP-UX from version 11.0 to 11.11. I would like to find out all the possible problems that we will encounter especially on the application side. I searched online and found nothing. Can anyone provide me with lists or links where I can find out more information?

We never do it - had too many issues on the very few attempts we made.

Best way, backup, reinstall, recover data/apps.

Bonus is that you have a nice clearout, fresh install.

Thank for the replies. I didn't find much from the installation guide. I called HP rep, they are helping me to look-up for this issue. If they can't find anything, we will try to upgrade then figure out what applications will be broken.

Really don't recommend this - we have some very experienced tech guys, and they don't recommend it either.

It may work fine, but if you are unlucky and hit issues, then you're in more trouble than just a rebuild.
