I have an HP Pavilion xxxx (I am not in front of it so I don't remember). For no reason, the multifunction USB Keyboard stops responding, but the USB mouse connected to it still works. If I try to press for visual confirmation (you know, the little light), nothing happens. I have checked my hardware settings and have no conflicts, I have switched to different USB ports and that didn't work. I am thinking that the keyboard is shorted out. I know the USB passthrough works (cause of the mouse). Can I get a confirmation on my assumption? Or if anyone has a solution, that would be better.
