I have tried many settings 1280 x 960 for example - but none have a perfect circle as circle. Circles come out oblate - like an oblate sphere, like someone sat on it, squashed - wider than tall, (ie 1.x inches horizontal by 1.0 inches vertical).

I need some way to calibrate & adjust a monitor's aspect ratio for "normal image appearance" for zero distortion or 1:1 horizontal to vertical.

Is there some way to do this on LCD monitors?

Thanks, Dave

Have you seen this site, it might be a handy reference for you?

TouchSmart Community.

You mention 1280 x 960 which to me seems like that would squash things a bit flat, did you try the older 1280 x 1024, or something in that ratio, or doesn't that work on a Wide Screen?

Sorry, not much help.

Hi linney - thanks, I'll check. No good on 1280x1024, worse.
