Hello, we are considering buying an HP T1100 technical printer to print large drawings and sales posters for trade shows. We use Mac OS 10.4 with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. My question is should we buy the PostScript version of the printer. It costs about $1000 more, and we are a very small company that really must watch expenses. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Allan

You will need the PS version or spend more money on a 3rd party RIP software.
The T1100 will handle the large drawing, but you might not be happy with the quality for your sales poster. Your choices of media/papers will also be more limited. I would look at the HP3200PS.
Also if your budget is real tight you could look at a used hp5000 or hp5500. I have a few if you are interested.
