Hello, I'm new to OV so if this is common knowledge please forgive me.

I downloaded the MIBs for HP switches from the HP website and it defines the order in which you need to load MIBs for each switch model. The problem I'm running into is that there are 2 MIB files that are needed, but are not included in the MIBs download from HP: rfc1212.mib and rfc1215.mib. I've searched google for them and I've found text documents that look like MIBs but I always get errors when trying to load them.

Where can I get these MIBs?

what kind of errors are you getting?

i know every once and a while when i get a MIB written in vi or emacs, i'll have to tweak it with notepad to make it work on our windows box.

if you're using a windows server, open the MIB with notepad. if instead of carrage returns it displays little boxes, go through and replace all the boxes with returns.

all else fails, try posting the MIB here, and we can see if it's a proper MIB
