Seems this is a rebranded Crossroads 4200 with the Ethernet port covered via a label. There's a note on the back of the unit that states something to the effect of 'not suitable for hard drive subsystems'. Anyone know why one couldn't use this to front-end a pack of JBOD disks ? I'm guessing it might be a rate-limited version of firmware, but could be wrong.

Thanks in advance,
Rhino.

The 2100ER fibre bridge will only recognize certain HP tape libraries. It was not designed to be used as a generalized bridge for all devices :(
