Hi,
I have a HP Smart Array 642 RAID controller on Win2K server. I need to attach it to a single ended terminated device (an External RAID box). When its all attached I get an error on boot up from the 642 card saying it cant support a single ended terminated device. My question:
Does anyone know if the 642 card can be converted/configured to run single rather than differential, thus solving my problem? I hear most cards can these days.
Or does anyone know of a device i can put between the two to convert the signal from differential to single and vice versa?
I have tried the HP site but it is useless.
Thanks for any advice,
Paul.
I plug you in, dim the lights
