I'm having a problem getting an HP ScanJet 4200C scanner deployed for all users of a Windows 2000 machine.
The scanner works fine for the Administrator account which was used to install it. There is also a .reg file that can be run to automatically correct the registry and make it work for other logins. The problem is, this is at a school, and group policy for students doesn't allow them to run .reg files (and we don't want to change it to allow it, either).
The .reg file creates 16 keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Is there a way I can deploy these changes, so that anyone who logs in can use this scanner? The number of users is in the hundreds, so changing access permissions and logging in as each individual user isn't an option.
Thanks in advance,
