Hi All,

Amongst other things I'm experiencing very poor performance from my HP File Server once I have over 20-30 users connected to it.

I have a HP Quad Port Gigabit Adapter so I ran the diagnostics & everything passed except the Loopback test.

I can ping 172.27.0.0 fine though.

Poss a red herring but my knowledge of this subject is limited.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about the loopback test failing. If you had a faulty NIC chances are you'd be seeing dropped connections.

There are a million reasons why a server might be slow. If that is a TS then about 30 is all the users it's ever going to handle.

Can you be more specific about what you mean by poor performance?
