My HP PSC all in one printer has a mysterious carriage jam (although there doesn't appear to be ANYTHING blocking it's path). The display tells me to clear the carriage jam, and when I press enter the carriage makes a terrible grinding noise. The printer was recently moved and reinstalled, and in the reinstallation process, I inadvertantly moved the carriage head while the printer was off and unplugged. Could this have messed with some sort of alignment?
I also noticed that there is a clear plastic strap (no, it isn't a data strap, it is completely translucent plastic), that appears to have come from the general viscinity of the printer. It isn't ripped, or broken, and I'm not even sure that it actually came out of the printer.
I'd like to get the printer working this weekend, if at all possible. If anyone has any ideas about this, please let me know. It was just working fine.... and BAM... nothing. HELP ME! Please![[noevil] [noevil] [noevil]](/data/assets/smilies/noevil.gif)
