HP psc 700 series help with a driver

Just got HP ZD 8000 Series laptop with Media Center Windows XP & wanted to use my HP printer 750 with it by using a Belkin USB Peripheral Switch. Printer is installed on old HP desktop, which has Windows Home XP 2001, had no trouble with that install back then, but putting in CD on new laptop, it now says that this installation is not supported for Windows 5.1-5.2-5.3.
Any one willing to offer me a solution to this problem?
