I can't do duplex printing with my HP PSC 500 all-in-one printer, when using Windows 2000.
It works fine in Windows NT4 and Windows 98, but in Windows 2000 the option is greyed out.
Because of the vintage of the product, the issued CD did not contain a driver for Windows 2000, and the HP website advised that there is no HP driver for Windows 2000, because one is actually provided by Microsoft. This is true, and I have installed it, but unfortunately they forgot to put in support for duplex printing into the driver.
I have tried the HP support phone line, even got through to the guy who supports all-in-one printers specifically, but he was unable to comprehend this simple problem.
I also have exactly the same problem with my HP 710C deskjet, so I suspect this problem affects a whole range of HP printers.
Can anyone help please?
