HP PSC 4355 All in one nightmare 1

Hi I purchaswed a HP PSC 4355 a couple of weeks aga and all has been fine.

A couple of days ago, when I turned on pc a message came up saying "Programme has encountered an unexpected error. Parameter cannot be null. Parameter name serializationStream".

Everytime I try to use printer this comes up and Photo suite will not load.

When I checked, I am being told printer is not connected to pc (which it is) or not on (which it is)

Can any one give me any advice, as to what the error message means, and, what I can do.

Well typically I would think both the software and the drivers wouldnt "just" go wrong.

What I would first suggest is going to the HP website and seeing if you can download the lastest software or the driver from their support website.

If you have the origional disks you can try add/remove software in the control pannel and remove the software.. and then reinstall it from your cd.. or a copy from the web if it is available.

If you are a more advanced user you can check out the device manager in your system properties and reinstall the driver.. or try to update it


...the alternative is make a nice batch of cookies and try to flag down the local computer geek to help :]
