Hello,

I was wondering if anyone have any info:

The web ilo (100) interfaces on two of my HP Proliant DL170 G2's stopped running - nothing's been changed.

Telnetting to the ilo boards - is this on by default or a seperate setting?

I don't want to restart the servers - and I don't have the servers on-site is stuck in one of our datacentres.

Thanks.

Are you saying they do not respond to a ping as well or that you can telnet to them but not browse to them?

If it is the former, I would check to see if it is not a network connectivity issue (check to see whether the switch is reporting a link up etc...). If it is the latter, I would suggest telnetting to the cards and resetting them from there.

Either way, does the HP System Management page report anything (including the correct IP address)?

Hi, thanks for your post.
I can ping the ILO rac card, when I do a port scan I get:

22-23
80
110
443

I can telnet/ssh to the ilo card but not connect to the secure hhtps.

Where can I find a list of commands so that I can restart the ilo card?

I've had best results when completely power cycling the unit, including unplugging the power cords from the back of the server. What you're describing rarely happens, it would be a good idea to make sure you're at the most recent iLO firmware.

Thanks for your post...

That was going to be my next step - powercycle.

The server is running the latest firmware..

Thank you...)

No problem. Just remember, not just a power cycle. Completely remove power for up to 20 seconds (let everything discharge). Sometimes you don't get a full iLO reset until it has its power removed.

Have you had any power surges lately? Also, look at POST and go into the ILO setup to see if the settings changed...when you pull power and bring them back up...

no powersurges, reboot or anything of the kind.

Can you telnet to the iLO using ports 80 and 443? I would also just check to make sure your issue is not related to Internet Explorer on your PC :)

See if you can browse the iLO from the server console itself (via an RDP session) just to make sure.
