HP ProCurve switch issue

How do you save a hard copy of the configuration on your desktop?

Hi,

Telnet into the switch (Try to use the telnet.exe from an NT4 machine) go into the diagnostics menu.

In the telnet app select the terminal menu, and start logging and select a file to log the config to.

Now choose the browse config file option and scroll through the whole config - as you scroll it will get logged to the file.

You don't mention which model you are using, but there are examples at

http://www.hp.com/rnd/support/support_forms/sw5300.txt

for using TELNET, TFTP, or X-Modem for saving off the configuration or other information.
