HP Procurve 5406 Intelligent Edge

Dear All :
we are going to get Cisco 4507R Switch - but a local HP Supplier called us and said that we can get the same quality and maybe more with HP Procurve 5406 Intelligent Edge Switch !

So - anyone did compare between the 2 products ?
any advises ?

I have not compared those two products but I have compared many others with products from Cisco, Foundry, & 3com. The Procurves nearly always give better value for the money IMO. I'd definitely check it out.

Procurves are very easy to manage, are well documented, and that lifetime overnight replacement warranty is hard to beat.

In one study I did, the price of one manufacturer's two year extended warranty cost more than the price of equivalent Procurve equipment.
