HP ProCurve 3400 not working

We've experienced an issue with half of our procurve switches where they just stop working. All the port lights are on but you can't ping anything on the switch and 2 pc's on the same switch can't ping each other. As soon as we move over to a new switch everything works. The weird thing is that this happened to about 6 or 7 procurves at the same time. Even tried restarting the switches and they were totally non responsive. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm guessing it some kind of bug that would effect all 6 at the same time.

I'm thinking you have a spanning tree loop going on. Do you have Spanning-tree enabled? Are you running MST? Can you give a general switch toplogoy including the number of uplinks you have to each switch??

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)
