Hi,

we have an HP 1200 printer with Jetdirect. Prints from Solaris, however does not seem to print as it shows on the screen. Does not seem to CR/NL ( does not wrap round, misses off next line etc ). Please help as this is really annoying me!!! Thanks

I think you can configure your printer to include a CR with every NL. It's in the printers menu.

You can also change the Solaris interface file to send out carriage returns with every new line.

Cheers, however the HP 1200 has no menu to change settings.

"You can also change the Solaris interface file to send out carriage returns with every new line."

How do you do this?
Thanks

You may need to modify your interface script to use unix2dos. The interface script will be in /etc/lp/interfaces and have the same name as the print queue. Somewhere around the line where it pipes the job into ${LPTELL}.

I think there are many ways to solve this one; a lot depends on how you created the print queue. Annihilannic.
