I work in the IT department of a university and we would like to become certified to repair our own HP Laserjet printers. How would be go about doing this?
We want to be able to fix the printers and do our own warrantee repair. I assume that we will need to have some combination of training and testing to get where we want to be. I guess my hands will probably get dirty when I'm fixing a printer.
To get certified and to do warranty repair for HP.
First you have to get a Customer number from HP.
This may be painful depending on how you purchased the printers(direct from HP or thru a vendor).
After you get the customer number you register on the HP printer web site using the customer number to generate a technician ID.
After you get the technician ID you can take the on-line HP
test foe a particular printer to be certified on that gear.
You even get a nice certificate.
GOOD LUCK
