HP Printer Driver causes Blue screen of death

Hiya,
Im running XP Pro with SP1 and have installed a HP Photsmart 7260 printer. I can turn the printer on with XP running, but attempting to do so results in a blue screen which tells me its dumping my memory to say my PC from being damaged.

I have reinstalled the drivers more times than I can remember, following to the book the route given by HP, but still not good.

Has anyone else experience this type of conflict and found a solution please??
