Upon power up, my just installed HP Photosmart 8150 printer rapidly prints numerous pages with "USBC RUT" at the top left margin. Have searched HP tech site and cannot seem to find any solution. Any ideas ?
I had the same problem. My operating system is Windows XP Professional. This is what I did to fix. Got on line with a HP Tec (his name was Pierce).
1.Unplug all USB devices or Your printer interface cable.
2.Start up computer and Press the F2 key when you see The DELL or other brand logo.
3.You will be in the System Set Up (BIOS) program.
4.You need to look for the USB emulation set up and change to (Disable). To do this move the highlight bar up or down to USB Emulation and the use the right or lefe arrow key to disable. Then hit the Escape key and you will have option to save. HIT ENTER then press the escape key again.
Computer should shut down and reboot. This should save changes.
5. Plug your printer interface back in and turn on the computer. Your printer should not come on and if it does it shouldn't feed paper and print the USBC RUT anymore.
Hope this helps. Mine works ok now. I have to turn the printer on when I need it but that is more logical to me then having it automatically come on.
