i have a HP pavilion 2700 model and i need to do a system recovery from its recovery partition.

i tried the F11 option but didn't take me anywhere, all other options like F1, F2, F9, F10 are working. I also have gone into the BIOS to see if F11 might have been disable by default but didn't find anything.

i don't have the reinstall disc.

i can see the boot manager in the recovery partition, but how do i point to it or run it, because it's booting from the c drive currently.

any suggestion?
thanks.

Try calling HP and ordering the recovery media. Costs around $20 or so (plus shipping and handling).

That's probably the easiest way.

Will the computer boot up at all? If so, have you tried to create the recovery cd(s)/dvd?

well, i found a way to save me 20 bucks.

activate the recovery partition in the disk management and restart the machine and it will automatically boot to that partition.
