I am running Windows XP Professional at SP2. I don't know what is going on, but this PC will not recognize ANY internal CD drives I try to install. It use to, but has stopped without me knowing why. I just bought a brand new Pioner DVR-509 internal DVD/CD Writer. I installed according to instructions, but when I boot up, the drive isn't on My Computer. I get a message while booting up saying Windows has diabled some recording devices because they may be unstable. I look in Device Manager and the new hardware is listed with the yellow indicator. I open it and it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". I put a new IDE cable on and tried again and still no luck. I can't even read the CD-Rom that came with the Pioneer!!!! HELP!
