Hi Group,
We are looking at replacing some older DG equipment with Oracle's Real Application Cluster. Our DG equipment is nearing end of life so its time to begin looking at other options.
My question to the group is simple enough pros and cons of anyone using the Oracle 9IRac on Redhat Enterprise 2.1. We like some of the features the RAC environment could do for us, but heard that many of the controlling features of the cluster are not there on Redhat like they are on HP/UX. We would like to go with Redhat Linux for costs savings as well as performance.
I am more experienced with IBM AIX technology so any information would be helpful.
thanks
Bobby
