Is there anywhere I can find the equivalent of HP Openview Network Node Manager for Dummies?

Make the assumption that I've turned on SNMP before and am vaguely familiar with what a MIB is, but haven't ever referenced them before.

What would be nice would be a book of common tasks and an idiot-proof description of how to set these up.

The holy grail for me would be an email notification when any one of perhaps a dozen cisco routers' interfaces go down (or when any ISDN interface on any backup router goes up.

Does a book or other reference material like this exist?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
