hp omnibook tv out settings - help

can anyone advise please - I have a hp omnibook xe3 p3 650mhz. the machine has a tv out socket that should be enabled via the s3 duo vue settings. however in my control panel rather than showing the duo vue monitor it shows two separate monitors - on of them my laptop display and one of them an external monitor - when i first brought the laptop the duo vue was there. I have tried to install it and all the drivers are there however i cannot find it listed under monitor types or adaptor types. I have re-installed the thing more times than i know what all to no avail

Can anyone advise me what to do - please no ameteurs stating the obvious - I am a hardware engineer - you can rest assured that I have tried the obvious.

Have you tried uninstalling the software for the card, removing the INF files by hand, deleting the drivers by hand to erase all traces, and then reinstalling after the card was set up as a straight VGA card?
