Hi all

I made a program and i am experiencing a difficulty. The program works fine in a cannon printer (forgot which) and in the HP deskjet 693C (those were the printer I tried).

I sent the program to a friend and his printer is the HP officejet 700 series.

The program is ran from windows ( i created an icon on the desktop).

He check and the printer is on the LPT1 and is turned on.

However, the ISPRINTER() function returns .f. and th program returns the error "TERM/0 Print error" if he tries to print.

can anyone help me?

thanks

I also was problem with HP 1100 and 1100A printer with
printing from DOS.
Reports was printed like simbol fonts from windows.
Try to find hp util program from older HP instalation disks.
If you want I can send to you file defaults.pjl wich I using to resolve my problem. I am put line code in autoexec.bat:

copy c:\hpljutil\defaults.pjl lpt1

and all works fine. Now I can print my reports without problems.

You can´t print with printers HP7xx because they are Windows printers.
The only solution I found was with a library I bought from a product named PageScript .
