HP Office Jet R60 All in One won't scan

After a crash I am unable to get my HP All in One to scan. Using Win 2000. HP prints but will not scan. When attempting to scan, get two messages: 1) "The specified module could not be found." 2) "Scanning failed. Please check that the device is plugged in ..."

Everything is plugged in and connected. (As I said the printer works fine.) I have uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled. Also have gone to the HP site and checked to see that I have the latest driver. They say I do. Have followed all their suggestions on the website. Nothing has helped.

Suggestions would be most appreciated.
