hi all, i would like to find out from using SAM in hp-ux, how do i find out the following; (sorry but i am new to the system admin works);
1) System memory
2) Hard disk space
3) How many CPU

Thanks!!

Don't recommend SAM for anything, I've seen it mess up kernels and crontabs. Use command line, you learn more.

If you really want to use SAM, only look at stuff, don't change anything.

Disk space - bdf or df -k

Memory - vmstat (see man page, man vmstat) or top
Glance is good if installed

CPU - try ioscan -fn

stm, excellent idea (forgot about that)

To make it easier, use xstm (graphical version).
