Hi all,

I have a Netserver Lh Pro that I am trying to get running with RH Linux and was wondering if anyone has done so successfully. The server is configured with the following:

Dual Pentium Pro 200Mhz, 512MB RAM, Diamond Stealth 64 VRAm, (internal video disabled), 2 Intel 10/100 PCI NIC's, 6 hot swap Seagate 18gig SCA 80 hard drives, HP NetRaid-1 card, (3 drives CH-0 and 3 drives on CH-1). Onboard Adaptec SCSI supports CD-ROM drive and Tape drive. I have flashed the System and Netraid with the latest BIOS.

I have created an array as follows: all 6 drives are array A0, 5 logical drives, first is 7gig the remaining 4 are roughly 25gig each.

I attempted to install Red Hat 9 and intially received a XIO: fatal error 104 (xserver). I then instructed it to do a text only install and everything seemed to go fine until it started formatting the disk, it got to 11% and hung.

Has anyone setup Red Hat on an HP Lh Pro is this or a similiar configuration and if so what version of RH did you use? Also, the video card I'm using is supported I believe so I'm not sure why xserver balked at it.

What I'm looking for is any kind of a walkthrough etc that wil help me complete this installation as well as info on a video card that anyone has had success with on this box. BTW I have installed WIN 2000 Pro on it without any issues, (before installing the RAID card).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA
