I am trying to install a new video card on my HP LP2000r Server. when I install the new PCI video card into the PCI slot in the Cage (any slot) then boot the system, all I get is a black screen. I have tried plugging my monitor into both the onboard video and the new PCI video with the same result. I think that I have to disable the onboard video, but I am unable to find how to do this. Does anyone know how to disable the onboard video in a HP LP2000r server, or if this is even needed? Any ideas would be a big help.

What is the spec of the new card? The slots on the server are only 33Mhz and differ in voltage

Well that would probably explain it then cause the card that I got was a GEFORCE fx 5200 dual head card 250MHz core clock and 4000 MHz mem data rate. Guess this one goes back to the store. Thanks for the info does any one know of a video card that will work in this box? something that is usable? Thanks again for all the info.
