HP LJ CM1015Mfp - Exit Code 1603 during installation

Hi all!
Installing a new LJ CM1015mfp on a Window 2000 client with the original CD, the process stop at 6% with following mgs:

"Fatal error during execution. Exit Code=1603"
What could be the cause?

Interestin Link hpwizzard, unfortunately could not help to solve (module selfinstallingportmonitor is not reported).
Here is the complete message:

Hmmm... Portmonitor is part of the monitoring software installed with the printer drivers to monitor the device status. If that one fails to install it could be because of a blocking firewall, antivirus or add-aware software running.
Next step after checking that would be to look at the MSI installer that is partly dependant on the presence of .NET framework 1.1X or above version patched up to date.
