Hello,
I have problem with LaserJet 5. Sometimes it stops priting and display shows Unexpected paper size error. The printer is on NT workstation 4 and shared amongst 4/5users
Also if this happens on page 3, then it will print a few copies of the same page and not print the rest.

Do you have anybody any idea how to solve it?

Thank you in advance.

Regards
Gav

Probably somewhere in the driver/application there is a mismatch on the paper format. Application(s) might be set to letter while printer is set for A4 or something similar. Try avoid using printing directed to tray numbers or to a specific size and instead setup the printer`s paperhandling menu with a definition of the different paper types used and then make the users chose paper type in source and set tray # and size to automatic in the driver. This will avoid most mispicks and 41.3 (unexpected paper size) errors.

Check the paper tray/cassette for loose paper sizing guides.
Clean the pickup roller with a lintfree cloth & water.
