HP LJ 1000w sharing on network - is it possible? 1

I have problem with using shared LJ 1000w (with USB port)ork. Printer is physically connected to Windows 98SE and shared.
I installed printer trough network on another Windows 98SE computer using original HP drivers from CD and attached to network port \\computer\printer. If I try to print test page it gives me error Printer not found, please check the path (or something very similar). I tried to map this path to LPT2 (and LPT1 too) - no luck.
Is it possible to use this printer trough network or not? Have anyone some experience?

Note : If you are running Windows 98 1st edition there is NO guarantee it will work when connected to the USB port as it is NOT properly supported.
