Had a problem with the SAN. The HP engineer said it would be a good idea to setup a separate volume on the same SAN ann replicate the volume with exchange on it to it.

Why would this help in the event of drive failures\RAID array failure?

and how do I do it?

Cheers,

M

It this is an EVA, and all the disks are in the smae pool, I doubt it would. When you create different vRAID LUNs from disks in the same disk group, they still share spindles. If this were a serperate disk group and you created the vRAID LUN there, then you would be on seperate spindles.
